MELS: Mastery Education & Life Skills

At MELS, kids will receive a mastery-based education accompanied with life skills. Mastery-based learning (MBL) is a teaching method that requires students to demonstrate their knowledge before moving on to the next skill. MBL is designed to help students learn at their own pace and receive the support they need to succeed. With a combination of online platforms, small group learning, one-on-one tutoring, and direct instruction, the individual needs of each student will be met at their achievement level and pace.

With less students in the classroom, there is more time for extracurricular learning! At MELS, kids will receive access to mastery education in math, reading and writing. They will also get Extended Enrichment (EE) over the course of their years at MELS.
