Apex
A virtual school. Self-paced, but teachers available every day. This program is used by the Alsea school district in Oregon which makes it available to all Oregon students for free (like REACH uses Florida Virtual). This program promotes itself as especially good for athletes - they even have "basketball school" as an option and has the stamp of approval of the NCAA. Curriculum can be used as individual supplemental curriculum or all-inclusive. They also have a credit recovery program. Alsea school district accepts students up to age 20.
Academy NorthWest
Accredited Christian Hybrid School based out of Washington. Sort of like a Christian Charter school - parents choose curriculum and make all the choices about the school, but have access to learning centers and teachers. Currently, for students in Oregon, you would need to choose a teacher that teaches virtually. Students will receive a traditional high school diploma. Teachers and learning centers set their own fees.
Alsea School District Home-based Learning
The Alsea Home-based Distance Education Program is not just another virtual school. The program has been specifically designed with the learner in mind. It is a blended model of live interaction, technology integration, and individual real-world, project-based learning. This model allows students to work at their own pace to maximize learning gains, close learning gaps, and accelerate new opportunities. The blended curriculums reinforce the concepts in contexts of how we actually use them every day in our lives.
Arrows Christian Academy
Founded in 2015, Arrows exists to reach out to families in Southern Oregon to meet needs in a variety of ways. We offer an exciting once weekly homeschool co-op for all ages, a Community Center, and a two day hybrid (home/school) program with teachers and weekly lesson plans. Teachers lay out lesson plans for parents to do on the days at home.
American Heritage Girls Troop OR2719
American Heritage Girls (AHG) was founded by a group of parents wanting a faith-based, scout-type character development program for their daughters in 1995. The AHG Program is dedicated to the mission of building women of integrity through service to God, family, community and country. AHG girls across the nation and the globe participate in badge programs, service projects, leadership opportunities, and outdoor experiences, all with an emphasis on Christian values and family involvement.
