SOHS Hanley Farms

Youth and educational events/programs include pioneer history days, scarecrow making, the Children's Heritage Festival, and more. They also host host Rogue Valley Farm to School field trips.
Historic Hanley Farm, established in 1857, is a working farm just outside of downtown Jacksonville Oregon. Owned and operated by the Southern Oregon Historical Society, Hanley Farm strives to preserve the history of the people who settled the land and their contributions to the agricultural development of the Rogue Valley. Because this is a working farm and a museum, visitors are welcome only during Hanley public events. Committed to farming methods that are ecologically healthy and sustainable, we cultivate no-till, no-chemical vegetable gardens, offer educational programs and community garden plots, and hold special events throughout the year.
