Woodland Charter School

Woodland Charter School, tuition-free and open to all students, is part of a worldwide movement to make Waldorf educational philosophy more accessible by bringing it to the public school system.
Woodland is open to all students and so attracts students from a relatively wide geographical area of Southern Oregon – largely the Applegate Valley and the greater Grants Pass area. As a tuition-free, public school, there are no financial barriers to enrollment – bringing Waldorf inspired education to a wider segment of the population. Woodland Charter School has a very strong commitment to equal access and treatment for all students and staff, free from any prejudice, discrimination or harassment based on race, color, age, religion, military service, handicap, disability, national origin, citizenship status, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy, marital status or any other reason prohibited by applicable law. Our curriculum supports a multicultural approach that includes racial, ethnic and religious diversity. Many belief systems are studied with utmost respect for all. We try to emphasize and support the local farming culture, local history, and the stories of the indigenous people of the region.
