Getting Started as an "Edu-preneur"- a few resources that helped me

Updated: Oct 3, 2023

Becky helped me dissolve Options for Education, LLC and start the non-profit Options for Education Center. She was calming, thorough, and attentive. She helped me to find my personalized path and guided me through it. The whole thing was really pretty easy!

I needed a bank, but every bank I looked into required me to have a lot of things done that I didn't have. It was sort of a catch 22. Blue Vine was an exception. It didn't require by-laws or anything else to get started and it has been a great experience. I have an app. I can transfer money, pay bills, etc. Easy Peasy. Oh! And one more bonus. I receive 2% interest back every month.

Zeffy is great. I connected Zeffy with Blue Vine easily, created QR codes for easy donating, set automatic donation receipts, and best of all, there are no fees! Zeffy will automatically set a small donation for the donor to support the platform, but it is easy unchecked if desired. In addition, you can use Zeffy as a free ticketing service as well! Our friends at Clarion Theater have just figured that out.

Without VELA, we probably wouldn't be around. They may seem too good to be true, but trust me, they are all that they say they are. No strings attached funding to help innovative "edu-preneurs" accomplish their dreams. They have recently been focusing on organizations that are offering core educational programs, not so much supplemental programming.
